Between April 24–26, 2026, the 19th National Civic Education Olympiad took place in Gabrovo. On April 26, students with the highest results in the III and IV age groups were awarded.

The initiative was organized by Sofia Platform Foundation with the support of SiteGround. The awarded students received financial support to help implement the projects they had developed.

The awarded projects in the III age group (Grades VIII–X) are:

• First Place: “Responsible Citizens in the Digital Era: AI – Friend or Enemy?”, PGII “John Atanasov”, Targovishte
• Second Place: “Mission – Protection”, SU “Panayot Volov”, Shumen
• Second Place: “Truth as a Choice”, MG “Baba Tonka”, Ruse
• Third Place: “Drop by Drop”, 2nd Foreign Language High School “Thomas Jefferson”, Sofia

The awarded projects in the IV age group (Grades XI–XII) are:

• First Place: “Together for a Cleaner Sofia”, 9th French Language High School “Alphonse de Lamartine”, Sofia
• Second Place: “Bridgeing”, First English Language High School, Sofia
• Third Place: “New Literary Criticism”, National High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sofia

• To support students with high achievements in the Civic Education Olympiad;
• To encourage the development and implementation of student civic projects;

• To promote civic engagement and critical thinking among students.
