For over a decade, Sofia Platform has worked with hundreds of experts, teachers, students and citizens in more than one hundred locations across Bulgaria, becoming one of the leading organizations supporting formal and non-formal history and civic educators in Bulgaria.

The platform is a source of working materials for teaching the subject "Civic Education". In a few short steps, users can generate an activity-filled teaching plan for dozens of curriculum topics.

The website offers visitors the opportunity to take part in virtual conversations with survivors of the communist labor camps and prisons in Bulgaria, explore a virtual tour of the Belene camp, and organize on-site visits in Belene with local guides.

In 2026 we are launching our most ambitious initiative – FACADE: The first museum of communist Bulgaria. The museum will bring together historical facts, personal stories and different perspectives, helping visitors make sense of the past and its connection to life today.
