Next stage of the PROTEUS project - microgranting of the participants in the project trainings starts
PROTEUS is a project funded by the EU’s CERV program and it aims to enhance the sustainability of civil society organizations and support democratic participation through capacity building and financial support.
Earlier in 2023, we announced the launch of the PROTEUS project. It was launched with a call for participants in a series of trainings* for capacity development of civil society organizations. The competition was successful and 23 organizations from across the country were selected.
The trainings include topics such as fundraising and project work, financial management, communication skills and advocacy, rights and democracy, etc. More information can be found here.
The first two trainings were successfully held in November 2023.
Now it is the turn of the next stage of the PROTEUS project - microgranting of the training participants. Only participants in the trainings selected earlier this year by the Sofia Platform Foundation following a publicly announced recruitment competition can apply for funding.
The application deadline is 26 January 2023.
The only eligible proposals are those that meet all of the following criteria:
Project proposals with the following focus will be funded: supporting civic activism and citizen participation in peripheral areas. For the purposes of this programme, civic participation/activism is any project/action that improves the life of the community in which it is implemented, in line with democratic values and principles. For the purposes of these guidelines, democratic values are defined as the rights and values of the EU as enshrined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and other key Union documents.
